Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot at his chapel because they ‘didn’t want a circus’

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got married on July 3rd at a chapel on his ranch in Oklahoma.

The singers tied the knot at his ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with just 40 guests – including Carson Daly – because they ‘didn’t want a circus,’ according to People‘s source.

‘They purposely kept the wedding simple. In the end, they just wanted to have this moment with their loved ones,’ the insider added. 

Gwen, 51, and Blake, 45, are ‘very family-oriented’ and ‘that’s exactly what the wedding was about. Family was at the center of everything,’ the source said.

The couple, who have been in a relationship for over six years, have similar values: ‘Their shared faith is very important. Having the wedding at home was a way for their families – and Gwen – to be as comfortable as possible. 

‘Blake wanted the day to be perfect for Gwen. His love for her is so deep,’ the insider noted.

Oklahoma is not only a special place for Gwen but also her three sons: Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, seven.

They ‘thought it was the perfect place for their wedding’ because of their happy memories at the ranch. 

Blake’s ranch was built by the country crooner with ‘input’ from his bride to be.

‘Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help,’ a source told Us Weekly in December 2020.

‘It’s really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year.’

Adam Levine, who was a judge on the The Voice during Blake and Gwen’s time on the show, did not attend the wedding – which surprised many fans.

The singer and his wife Behati Prinsloo were seen on July 3rd in Miami.

The Maroon 5 frontman spent time with his family in the city, where he is also believed to be recording music, per Page Six. 

Carson Daly, the host of The Voice, officiated Gwen and Blake’s wedding. 

Adam was on the voice from 2011 until 2019.

Just days after tying the knot with Blake Shelton, the No Doubt frontwoman highlighted the design in a stunning shot of herself holding a massive bouquet of white hydrangeas on a post she shared to Instagram.

While standing in an empty hallway with blue floral walls, the bride let her handmade veil embroidered with the names of her husband and sons brush the floor.

 Stefani shared a lovely black-and-white photo featuring a second Vera Wang dress that was missing the long train and instead had a fluffy miniskirt that showed off her legs in white fishnets.

Gwen and Blake got engaged in October 2020 after five years together.

The two met in 2014 when Stefani became a judge on The Voice. Blake has been a judge on the NBC show since its inception in 2011. 

In February, Blake revealed that he and Gwen weren’t friends when they met in 2014: ‘There wasn’t even much of a friendship that first season,’ he told People.

The duo were both married at the time – he with Miranda Lambert – she with Gavin Rossdale.

Gwen and Blake leaned on each other during their respective divorces, with a friendship soon blossoming.

Soon after the couple fell in love, announcing their relationship publicly in November 2015.
