Beauty and the Geek star Mitchell Berryman breaks down over his first-ever date with Ashleigh Thomason – before admitting he’s fallen in love
On Sunday’s premiere episode of Beauty and the Geek, Mitchell Berryman went on his first-ever date – and quickly fell for Ashleigh Thomason.
And the 28-year-old from Victoria was quickly smitten with the 31-year-old blonde stunner, who lives in Queensland.
The pair went on a date that was just to Mitch’s liking – playing vintage video games together.

After admitting that he had never been on a date before, or even been kissed, Mitch felt much closer to his sympathetic beauty.
At the end of the episode, host Sophie Monk decided if the geeks stayed with their original beauties.
Mitch admitted he was ‘very, very nervous’ and explained that as a geek, he tends to cling to the first person he meets.

‘My date was just, absolutely amazing. I have never had a date before in my entire life. But this was just spectacular. I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I feel changed in the span of one to two days and it’s not even over,’ he said.
After Sophie put him out of his misery, confirming that the theme park performer and the aspiring screenwriter would stay matched throughout the show.
Walking back to Ashleigh’s side, Mitch had to rub the tears away from his eyes, and tried not to break down.

‘I said to myself I was probably going to shed a few tears if I had to change from Ashleigh, I didn’t want to separate at all,’ he admitted.

‘I am starting to realise for us geeks and beauties this is a really great way for us to grow. I don’t know what is happening but this experience is turning me into a new man. I have learned so much.
