Cody Simpson shares psychedelic flashback ‘to being 18 on the beaches of Venice’

He and his family relocated from Australia to the United States in 2010, when he was just 13 years old, in order to pursue his then-fledgling pop career.

And Cody Simpson, 24, has shared a ‘flashback’ to that time with his fans, in a psychedelic video posted to Instagram on Sunday. 

The trippy video was captioned, ‘flashbacks to being 18 on the beaches of Venice’.

The pop star-turned-swimmer’s lengthy post, scored to The Doors track The End, also featured his model girlfriend Marloes Stevens, and the couple’s cat.

The feline recently featured in another of the aesthetically blessed couple’s social media posts.  

Marloes took to Instagram last week to show Cody with a baby kitten resting on his chest before going on to call him ‘Daddy’. 

‘Daddy,’ she said to Cody. 

The swimmer then said ‘Daddy’ in a much more gentle way while smiling as the kitten slept on his chest. 

Marloes and Cody have been together since his high-profile split from pop singer Miley Cyrus and the model recently relocated to Australia to be with him. 

The pair were seen partying together after Cody narrowly missed out on a place on the Australian swim team for this year’s Tokyo Olympics last month.  

Following the swim, the hunk was seen packing on the PDA with Marloes, enjoying wine and busting out a few dance moves while at a house party on the Gold Coast.  

Cody covered up his buff frame in a white T-shirt, a black sweater on top and jeans. 

In one photo, the singer and swimmer warmly embraced Marloes, 28, who wrapped her arms around his torso.

A short black and white video saw Cody holding onto a glass of red wine and showing off his dance moves with his equally jovial pals.

Another photo saw Cody joking around with a mate, kicking one foot in the air.  

Cody debuted his romance with Marloes in January this year. It came four months after ending his relationship with American pop singer Miley Cyrus.
