MAFS’ Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson let slip their twins’ due date

They announced that they’re engaged and expecting twins on Monday.

And hours after the surprising news was revealed, Married at First Sight stars Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson let slip when their little ones are due during a candid interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘If you want to call one Kyle, I understand…’ cheeky host Kyle Sandilands quipped to the pair, both 32, during the impromptu radio interview.  

Bryce then unveiled when the twins are set to arrive, adding: ‘What’s uncle Kyle doing somewhere around March? We’ll probably need him for babysitting duty!’

When asked about baby names, Bryce responded: ‘We’ve got probably about 10 boy and girl names – but because we don’t know what the genders are, it’s sort of hard.

‘What we’re hoping for is that they’re both really healthy, and we know that they’re coming into a loving family.’

Kyle also jested that the pair had announced the pregnancy as a publicity stunt, after months of speculation that their controversial relationship was a ‘showmance’.

But shutting down the rumours, Melissa added: ‘I’ve actually had a few comments come through saying “how pathetic to draw the process out” – but… no!’

Bryce and Melissa’s twins will be a world first for the Married At First Sight franchise.

‘It’s been a whirlwind but we’re so incredibly happy,’ workplace trainer Melissa told New Idea as the duo confirmed the news.

She added that getting married for real ‘just felt like the next logical step’ after exchanging vows in a non-legally binding ceremony on MAFS.

Bryce proposed to his girlfriend during a helicopter tour across Melbourne, after picking out a black diamond ring together.

He said choosing a ring together ‘isn’t traditional, but neither are we’.

The couple are planning a ‘low-key’ wedding, but said they won’t be inviting the show’s relationship experts Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla.
