A lottery player is set to lose a £1 million jackpot tomorrow.

The punter has just hours left to claim the prize or it will go to the good causes fund.

The EuroMillions ticket was bought in the Sefton area of Merseyside for the draw back in January.

But the six month deadline is here for the ticket holder to claim it or lose it.

The winning code in the UK Millionaire Maker draw is MNGF22971.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: ‘Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

‘We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding.

‘This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.

‘You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.

‘If you have the winning ticket call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 to claim.’

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

There are more than £10 million worth of major Lottery draw prizes which have not been claimed this year.

Last month, a UK ticket-holder won the £111million EuroMillions jackpot.

The massive win catapulted the lucky player above the likes of Harry Potter actress Emma Watson (£58million), Mad Max star Tom Hardy (£30million) and every member of One Direction.
