Gone: Farmer Wants a Wife star Caity teared up when she was forced to leave the show on Monday after having ‘no connection’ with farmer Andrew

During a private conversation on his NSW property, Caity attempted to ask Andrew how he felt about her and if she would be the one he would send home during an elimination.

Andrew was brutally honest in his reply, which caused her to tear up and leave.

‘If you did right now have to send someone home, would that be me?’ Caity asked, seemingly knowing his answer.

‘I guess honestly, it probably would be, that comes back to the time thing,’ he brutally replied.

‘I think the best option is for me to go home,’ she said through tears.

In a piece to camera, Andrew said he never meant to hurt Caity, but he never thought they had a good ‘connection’.

‘Caity is a really lovely girl, but I guess I didn’t get to know Caity as much as maybe I didn’t think there was a connection there or if I could have seen her living this life,’ he explained.

‘I’m not there to hurt her, I didn’t mean to hurt her and I hope I didn’t. But I have to follow my gut and follow my heart.’

Caity said she felt upset he rejected her and didn’t try and fight for her to stay on the farm, but finished: ‘I feel like he knew who he wanted in the end.’

The 40-year-old, who hails from the NSW Snowy Mountains, told Meg, Kate and Luce that it was time for them to pack their bags.

‘I think it is probably best if you head home,’ he began.

‘I don’t know if there’s…… if I am feeling that lightning bolt connection with any of you, because I do respect you so much I don’t want to have you hanging around and you all have lives to get back to, children, jobs.

‘It’s a very hard decision to make but I think it is probably best if you head home.’

Farmer Wants a Wife continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel Seven.
