Lindsey Vonn glows in a sheer Gucci gown at the 2021 Sports Humanitarian Awards

She was one of the most dominant female skiers ever and the winner of three Olympic gold medals throughout her multi-decade career.

But Lindsey Vonn showed she was also a fashion star when she set heads turning at the 2021 Sports Humanitarian Awards in New York City on Monday evening.

The 36-year-old retired athlete put on a dazzling display on the red carpet in a sheer Gucci dress as she was joined by other sports celebrities, including tennis legend Billie Jean King and several WNBA stars.

Lindsey looked effortlessly elegant in the sheer dress, which featured long sleeves and nearly reached down to the ground.

It was covered in a gold Gucci chainlink pattern, and the downhill skier added a black Gucci belt to emphasize her hourglass figure.

She protected her modesty under the dress’ outer layer with a cream-colored slip, and the 5ft10in beauty added to her already impressive stature with a pair of gold open-toe heels with twisting straps.

She accessorized with a black clutch featured a silver butterfly clasp, and she also sported a luxury wristwatch.

Lindsey had her golden blond locks tied back in a ponytail which was swept to the side and rested over her shoulder.

The award ceremony, which is put on by ESPN, celebrates athletes, team and individual sports professionals who use their athletic careers to better the lives of others and to help their communities.

The event is being hosted by actor Taye Diggs this year and broadcast on Saturday, July 24 at 2 p.m. ET. 

Among those involved in the ceremony are tennis icon Billie Jean King, who was joined on the red carpet by her longtime partner Ilana Kloss.

Billie had a special connection to the ceremony, as the honoree of the Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award was to be announced during the show.

The honor is open to high school and college students in the US who help to improve their schools or communities via their work in sports.

Among the red carpet arrivals were members of the Atlanta Dream WNBA team, who were nominated for the Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year Award.

The award is given out to groups who show how teamwork can improve their community or aid a cause bettering society.

Winners of the prize earn a $100,000 grant which they direct to a charity doing the same work as them, while the other finalists will still receive a smaller $25,000 grant for a related charity.

Among the team members assembled were Monique Billings, Cheyenne Parker, Crystal Bradford, Elizabeth Williams, Tiffany Hayes, Blake Dietrick, Jaylyn Agnew and Brittany Brewer.

Billings looked glamorous in a dark green satin halter dress that crisscrossed across her cleavage and highlighted her toned arms.

Parker glowed in a plunging ruched white dress, while  Bradford kept her look casual and showed off her tattoos in a black T-shirt and matching pants.

Williams stunning in a plunging black dress with a raised-up skirt, while Hayes opted for plaid pants with a white button-up shirt that contrasted with her long braids.

Dietrick looked fabulous in a magenta dress with a high slit showcasing her toned legs, while Agnew sizzled in a scarlet sleeveless dress while carried a thick black clutch.

Brewer rounded out the group display with a hot pink off-the-shoulder dress with pale stripes, plus bright white open-toe heels.

Matt James, the most recent Bachelor and a former football player, was joined by his girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell, who one his season of the popular reality series before being engulfed in controversy over racists social media posts she allegedly made while in college.

Matt went all out with a glittering black pinstrip tuxedo with cropped trousers, plus low-key white slip-on sneakers.

Rachael went all out on the glamour with a lustrous silver sleeveless dress with small cutouts over her midriff.
