Scarlett Johansson gushes about ‘beautiful’ pandemic wedding to Colin Jost where ‘Jost 2020’ masks were handed out as a ‘weird party favor that could only happen now’

Scarlett Johansson gushed this week about her ‘beautiful’ and ‘intimate’ pandemic wedding to Colin Jost.

Colin, 39, and Scarlett, 36, tied the knot at a scaled-down ceremony at her home in the New York hamlet of Palisades this past October.

And in a new interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers the Black Widow star dished about the idiosyncratic ‘party favor’ she and her new husband gave their guests.

Colin currently hosts Weekend Update on NBC’s Saturday Night Live – a role previously held by Seth who attended Scarlett’s latest wedding.

As a result Seth was one of the lucky people to be given a ‘Jost 2020’ mask which Scarlett admitted was ‘just weird, looking at the photos.’

She said with a smile that the mask ‘definitely was a weird party favor that could only happen now, but you just gotta go with it.’

Planning the wedding was ‘a little stressful’ because of the elderly relatives on her husband’s side who were coming.

‘His grandparents are still with him and, you know, they’re like – several, you know, people in their 90s in his family,’ she said, quipping: ‘The Josts live forever.’

The Marriage Story actress said the nonagenarians on the groom’s side are  ‘lively and thriving and they were at our wedding, and so you know, obviously we wanted to take all the precautions, every precaution that we could.’

Scarlett noted that ‘everybody had to get tested 100,000 times, which you guys already do. And actually half the people that were at our wedding also work at NBC.’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe star laughed and joked: ‘We made sure to invite only people that work at NBC basically.’

She said of her wedding that ‘even though it was small and intimate it was beautiful. And we were so happy to see people that we hadn’t seen in such a long time, and we just felt very fortunate, you know, to be able to get together like that. It felt like it was sort of how it was supposed to be – minus face masks.’

Earlier this month Page Six claimed that Scarlett was expecting a baby but neither she nor Colin has confirmed as much.

Scarlett’s first marriage was to Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Reynolds whom she tied the knot with in 2008 but divorced in 2011.

The following year she took up with French ad executive Romain Dauriac who became her second husband and the father of her daughter Dorothy, six.

Scarlett and Romain married in 2014 but had split up by 2016 and she began dating Colin in mid-2017 while still in the process of divorcing her previous husband.

Meanwhile Colin, who met first Scarlett on the set of Saturday Night Live in 2006, had never been married before this past October.
