Studio 10’s Daniel Doody breaks down while reporting on the vile racist abuse against English soccer players
A Studio 10 presenter broke down in tears on Thursday while reporting on the racist abuse faced by English soccer players.
Daniel Doody became emotional during a news bulletin about a digital mural depicting the three players who were racially abused after missing penalties during the Euro 2020 final.
‘Hear, hear, well done to that,’ he said.

Studio 10 co-host Beau Ryan agreed, saying: ‘There were scenes where they were putting flowers and chocolates.’
‘Marcus Rashford does many things for the community such as feed the homeless and all the people that he has helped in the last three to five years turned up. I want to know what you think about it, Doody.
‘You’re a proud man of colour. You have Sudanese and Samoan heritage. You are very proud about the colour of your skin. How did you feel about the last week?’

Daniel broke down into tears and explained: ‘When I did see that article, it was very upsetting.’
‘We adore you Daniel Doody. We love everything you do, you’re such a beautiful man. We are so lucky to have you on our team,’ host Sarah Harris said.
It comes after Marcus Rashford and fellow England teammates Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, were racially abused by after missing penalties in Sunday’s Euro 2020 final defeat at Wembley.

A mural of Rashford was also defaced in what is being investigated by police as a possible ‘hate crime’, with derogatory comments about the forward, including the words ‘sh**e’ and ‘b*****d’.
Further graffiti said ‘f**k Sancho’ in reference to Three Lions teammate Sancho who also missed a penalty during the shoot-out.
The mural has since been repaired and is now covered in messages of support from England fans, who have left notes, flags and shirts on the wall in solidarity with the footballer.
