Colbert, 57, said, ‘Now I’d also like to apologize for earlier,’ to which the Cambridge, Massachusetts native, 42, responded, ‘I didn’t know you were gonna bring it up and I felt bad bringing this up.’

Colbert said in response, ‘I thought you were gonna bring it up because it would make me feel bad.’
