David Beckham and PR guru Loulou Dundas part ways less than a year after her appointment

‘She relished working with Becks so it’s a bit of a surprise she’s leaving’: David Beckham and his high society PR guru Loulou Dundas ‘part ways after less than a year in the job’

David Beckham has parted ways with PR guru Loulou Dundas less than a year after hiring her as head of communications at David Beckham Ventures in August.

Loulou, 32, is the daughter of Lord Bruce Dundas and spent the last eleven months overseeing the promotion of David’s many enterprises and brand collaborations.

This including his work with Tudor watches and Adidas, partnerships which have helped him and his Spice Girl wife Victoria amass an estimated £370million fortune.

LouLou’s appointment last year is said to have ‘had a lot of tongues wagging in high society circles’ and while she is said to have ‘relished’ the role, insiders insist to The Sun that there is no bad blood among the parties.

A source told The Sun: ‘Loulou relished working with Becks. It’s a full-on role and she earned an extremely competitive salary.’

They added: ‘It is a bit surprising she is leaving. But she has done a great job and there has been no falling out. The role looks amazing on her CV and there’s no shortage of PR gurus wanting to work for Becks.’

LouLou – who attended £37,050-a-year Sherborne Girls’ school in Dorset – started her career working for events planner Peregrine Armstrong-Jones and helped organise the wedding of Peter Phillips, the Queen’s grandson.

Old Etonian Peregrine staged the Beckhams’ wedding reception at which the couple were seated on golden thrones.

Elsewhere, David and Victoria, 47, have been given the green light to build a ‘barn for bats and birds’, MailOnline exclusively revealed on Friday.

West Oxfordshire District Council granted the A-list couple with the approval needed to move forward with their re-landscaping plans in the gardens of their £6.15million Grade II-listed country mansion.

The council biodiversity team were initially unhappy with the couple’s plans to build a wildlife corridor to allow birds, bats and bugs to flourish, but have now come back and given their approval – with specific conditions.

This includes building at least one bat box and bird box, the ‘creation of a new native species-rich hedgerow’, ‘a five-year aftercare maintenance plan’ and ‘no external lighting’, which would harm the wildlife.

West Oxfordshire District Council biodiversity team complained twice about the plans to erect a detached building comprising of office and storage space and change of use of land to extend the domestic curtilage.

However, council biodiversity officer Esther Frizell-Armitage has now approved the plans but with a list of conditions, to ensure that no harm comes to badgers, nesting birds, reptiles, amphibians, hedgehogs and bats.
