Love Island 2021: Tearful Sharon is DUMPED from the villa as new bombshell AJ couples up with Hugo and Danny chooses Lucinda in dramatic show opener

Sharon broke down in tears as she became the latest contestant to be dumped from the Love Island villa on Sunday.

The Oxford beauty, 25, predicted she would be going home after newcomer Danny chose  to couple up with Lucinda despite having been on a date with her.

After he chose the blonde, Sharon turned to her close pal Faye and said: ‘I’m definitely going home now’.

With all the other islanders coupled up, Sharon teared up as she said her goodbyes to her fellow islanders. 

Sharon was previously in a  couple with Hugo who was the first one to give her a farewell hug, saying: ‘I’m so sorry’.

‘Don’t be stupid,’ Sharon said as the rest of the group came to hug her.

Sharon teared up as she said her goodbyes to Faye and Kaz, saying: ‘Don’t set me off, don’t set me off. I love you guys so much OK?’

Speaking in the beach hut, Faye said: ‘I’m going to miss everything about Sharon, she was my backbone, she was the one I went to for everything.’

Kaz added: ‘I just can’t believe Shaz and Kaz have been separated. I’m heartbroken because she was genuinely looking to meet someone new.’ 

Speaking after the dumping, Sharon insisted she wasn’t going to give up on her search for love.

She said: ‘We all took a plunge when we came here. Love was never guaranteed and it never will be but I’m glad I took the plunge. 

‘I’m still on the look for love and the hunt for that Mr someone special who can handle my fire and make me a happy woman.’
