Whoops! Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes get locked out of their car in the middle of a lunch date

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes had a bit of a mishap when they lost their car keys while out and about on Sunday.

The couple looked like they were planning on a relaxing afternoon, seen fetching some lunch in LA.

But the day came to a screeching halt when the pair realized they had misplaced their keys. 

Camila, who looked lovely in a multi-panel sundress, jiggled the handle before rummaging through her purse.

Shawn, meanwhile, tried to peek into the cabin to see if they accidentally locked their keys inside. 

The couple, who just celebrated their second anniversary, didn’t appear to let the mishap get them down, keeping on their smiles throughout.

Luckily after a bit of searching, one of them was able to find the keys, letting the duo drive away happy. 

Shawn marked the couple’s anniversary with a tender Instagram post last week, sharing a snap of them kissing on the beaches of the Caribbean and writing: ‘Happy ‘2 years my baby.’

Camila also posted a slew of loved-up snaps documenting their adventures in the Caribbean.

‘Happy anniversary Kuko (heart emoji). Here’s to more joy, more friendship, and more love (heart emoji).’ 

The former Fifth Harmony singer and Shawn have known and worked with each other since their early years, went Instagram official with their relationship in August of 2019, and have remained together ever since.

The pair originally met when they were both performing on a tour that was headlined by Austin Mahone in 2014. 

They soon developed a strong friendship and released a collaborative single entitled I Know What You Did Last Summer the following year.

Camila previously dated YouTube personality Matthew Hussey, although the two broke up in June of 2019. 

Mendes was linked to Hailey Bieber, but the pair maintain they were just close pals.
