Married At First Sight’s Seb Guilhaus reveals why he REALLY split from Elizabeth Sobinoff

Married At First Sight star Seb Guilhaus has lifted the lid on his shock split from co-star Elizabeth Sobinoff. 

Speaking to Adelaide Now on Wednesday, the retired football player admitted that he and Elizabeth ‘had their issues’ despite their picture perfect romance, and were inevitably doomed to break up.  

‘I’m single because although Liz and I loved each other very much, we did have our issues and it was better we separate as close friends than push something we knew wouldn’t work at this point in time,’ he told the publication.   

Despite their unfortunate breakup, the fitness coach admitted that he’d learned an important lesson about romance during his time with Elizabeth.   

‘My last relationship with Liz showed me that love really can be developed and it’s not always a case of having ‘everything’ in common,’ he explained. 

Confirming that he’s ‘ready to make himself available again’, Seb revealed that his dream girl would resemble a younger Angelina Jolie, be intelligent, and have a fun yet slightly ‘crazy’ personality. 

Seb is also giving fans the chance to win a romantic dinner date with him this month, as part of a new competition run by Adelaide Now. 

It comes after a recent Instagram Q&A where Seb was asked if he would ever rekindle his relationship with Elizabeth.  

‘Liz is a beautiful human and we’re still extremely close,’ Seb responded. 

‘I don’t know what he future holds and whether our lives will intertwine to that degree but we will be close regardless, for hopefully ever.’

The reality TV stars first first met and married each other on season seven of MAFS.

They confirmed their break-up on January 11 after dating for about a year. 

‘We have mutually decided to end our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend,’ they announced in identical Instagram posts.
