‘Screw the local council!’ Kyle Sandilands reveals he owes a whopping $16,000 in parking fines

Kyle Sandilands and his co-host Jackie O Henderson make millions each year to host their KIIS FM radio show. 

And it’s a good thing that the pair rake in the money, as Kyle revealed this week the shocking amount he owes on parking fines. 

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, Kyle, 50, revealed he owes around $16,000 worth of fines from this year alone. 

Kyle’s manager and good friend Bruno Bouchet, the show’s former executive producer, appeared on the radio show when he spoke about just how much Kyle owes. 

‘Sometimes I get away with parking, I’ve seen it with my own eyes,’ Kyle said with a laugh. 

Bruno added some parking rangers don’t bother with fining Kyle as they know he won’t cough up the cash. 

‘There are a number of rangers who will never book you… they’re good people, fans of the show and know it’s more hassle than worth to book you anyway,’ Bruno said. 

Kyle said he just outright refuses to buy a ticket. 

‘I never buy a ticket, I say f**k the local council, I’m not paying you $4, screw yourself!’ Kyle said. 

Kyle, Bruno and Jackie O then broke down the figures. 

Kyle said he had 18 fines for ‘parking continuously longer than indicated’ in a zone, which totals up to $2,088. 

For disobeying a stop sign 25 times this year alone, Kyle has to cough up $5,675. 

For stopping in a loading zone and being charged 42 times for the infringement this year, he has to pay back a total of $8,148.  

His eye-watering total comes to $15,911 that he has to pay back. 

Jackie couldn’t believe the figure and told Kyle it was ‘such a waste of money’. 

But Kyle admitted that sometimes he just can’t see the ticket fines on his car window screen and sometimes mistakes them for Domino’s flyers.  

But $16,000 is nothing for Kyle, who reportedly earns a whopping $5million per year to co-host the Kyle and Jackie O Show and drives a $380,000 Bentley.

In 2019, he added to his car collection, getting a $1.3million Rolls-Royce Phantom.  

Jake Challenor, the publisher of industry bible Radio Today, said Kyle and Jackie O are paid $5million a year each to host Sydney’s top-rated FM breakfast show.

While they easily have the most generous pay packet, there are plenty of other anchors who command seven-figure salaries.

Mr Challenor said the likes of Marty Sheargold, Amanda Keller, Dave Hughes, Ray Hadley, Neil Mitchell, Fifi Box, Sam Pang and Mick Molloy all earn ‘in the millions’.
