Mandy Moore revealed that she pumped breastmilk while climbing Mount Baker in Washington State in a series of photos shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old actress posted several snaps from the end of her expedition before sharing a few pictures of herself pumping that had been taken during various stages of her journey.

The performer welcomed her first son, August Harrison, this past February and shares her baby boy with her husband of nearly three years, Taylor Goldsmith.

Moore was dressed in a heathered light green t-shirt and a pair of black pants while making her way up the mountain.

She also sported a set of light beige walking shoes when she began her ascent and switched out to a pair of boots before she reached the summit.

The This Is Us actress later donned a dual-tone blue hoodie to keep herself comfortable while spending time in the higher altitudes.

Although she was initially seen wearing a black cap on top of her blonde locks, she later put on a neon green climbing helmet.

Moore wrote that pumping on her climb was one of her ‘new realities of adventuring’ in a text graphic that was added to one of her posts.

She also noted that she had ‘never been this tired. And I have an infant’ in a post that was taken at the summit.

The actress and Goldsmith, who is known for his work with the folk rock band Dawes, were initially romantically connected in 2015.

Prior to becoming involved with the musician, the performer was involved with Zach Braff for two years.

She later began a relationship with singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, whom she married in 2009.

The two remained together for several years before Moore filed for a divorce in 2015 after they had been separated for six months.

Their marriage was dissolved the following year, and the actress later described her ex-husband as emotionally abusive.

Following her split from the musician, the performer and Goldsmith became engaged in 2017 and tied the knot the following year.

Moore spoke about how her role on This Is Us taught her about motherhood during an interview with Today, where she noted that working with kids of all ages was beneficial to her in the long run.

‘It’s funny, I mean having played a sort of matriarch of a family for the last five years and getting to sort of see children at various different chapters and stages, I feel like I am pseudo-prepared as I can be,’ she said.

The actress added, ‘I’ve had babies and toddlers and I have adult children, so I’ve gotten a pretty good taste and lay of the land.’

Moore went on to speak about how her friends and family had been bombarding her with tips for being a parent and expressed that she was appreciative for the guidance.

‘Everyone wants to give you unsolicited advice. I’m all for it. I welcome everything because I know nothing,’ she remarked.
