She’s one of 23 contestants introduced to Jimmy Nicholson during Wednesday night’s premiere of The Bachelor.

And now unseen footage obtained by news.com.au shows an awkward scene between contestant Ashleigh Freckleton and pilot Jimmy that never made it to air. 

The clip begins with Ashleigh commanding Jimmy to put a rose between lips.

‘Put this in your mouth, and I’m going to whip it out of your mouth,’ the speech pathologist begins, handing Jimmy a blush coloured rose. 

‘It’s probably a good idea to close your eyes,’ Ashleigh instructed as she moved away from him and grabbed her whip.   

‘I mean I’ve only ever taken out one,’ she laughed nervously. 

Following instructions, Jimmy complied, and popped the rose in his mouth.

Following instructions: 'It's probably a good idea to close your eyes,' Ashleigh said. 'I mean I've only ever taken out one,' she laughed.

Counting to three, Ashleigh walked over to Jimmy and finally admitted: ‘I’m kidding. I would never do that!’

Breathing a sigh of relief, Jimmy laughed off the encounter.

‘I was going to let you do it,’ he said.

Despite her introductory scene not making it to air, Ashleigh was one of 21 contestants to get handed a rose by Jimmy. 

Instead, Annabelle O’Regan, a medical equipment supplier and, Lauren Jenkins, an office administrator were sent home.
