Coldplay baffles fans with TEN MINUTE lyric video to the closing track from their new album Music Of The Spheres… after revealing FIVE songs are named with emojis
They are set to release their ninth studio album this October.
And ahead of the October drop, British band Coldplay premiered a lyric video on YouTube on Thursday of the closing track off the album, titled Coloratura.
The song and video, which go on for 10 minutes and 18 seconds, evoke a cosmic and ethereal ambience that showcase elaborate instrumentation along with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s melodic voice.

The video itself is starry nightscape that morphs in a field of space, with cosmic bodies and wavelengths of colorful light evocative of the aurora borealis.
Coloratura, which translates to ‘elaborate embellishment in vocal music’ according to Merriam Webster dictionary, is not a single off the new album, titled Music Of The Spheres.
The lead single from the album, titled Higher Power, was released in May of this year.
Recently, when the complete track listing of the record was published, fans became baffled by the fact that five of the songs are titled with nothing more than an emoji symbol.

Chris and company – comprised of Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion – posted about the Max Martin-produced album on Instagram with a handwritten note alongside an album trailer which combines an animated cosmic journey through the album’s planetary artwork with short clips of the album’s 12 tracks.
And of the 12 tracks, five are represented by just a symbol including a Saturn emoji, a star, a heart, the earth and the infinity symbol.
Fans took to social media to react to the quirky song titles with some wondering what they were supposed to call them.

One user said: ‘Why Coldplay got emojis on their tracks as song names, what am I supposed to call them?’
Another added: ‘Five of these album tracks have emojis for titles??? Nah Coldplay really out-Coldplayed themselves this time.’
It comes after Chris recently said his band’s new material was inspired by Star Wars, after he watched the iconic sci-fi movies and was left wondering what music on other planets sounds like.
He even confirmed that the whole album will be set on a fictional planet.
Music Of The Spheres is set to drop on October 15th.
