In July 2019, Jo spoke to Mamamia about her life and raising her family on Rob’s South Australian cattle farm.

‘It really makes me happy, going out and helping on the farm. I love it,’ she said during the wide-ranging interview.

However, living on a farm has its downside, with Jo admitting to the publication that she and Rob found natural disasters such as drought very stressful.

Back in 2008, Jo gave up her job as a Melbourne newspaper photographer to restart her life on Rob’s rural property.
