Australian tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt shared a sweet tribute to his wife Bec Hewitt on Friday.

The 40-year-old posted a black and white picture alongside his wife to Instagram, marking their 16th year as husband and wife.

Hitting two birds with one stone, the sports champ wrote in the picture’s caption: ‘Hard to believe it’s been 16yrs… Happy Anniversary and Happy B’day to my beautiful wife. You’re the best!’

Double the celebrations: Australian tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt shared a sweet tribute to his wife Bec on Friday. Hitting two birds with one stone he wished her well on her birthday and celebrated their wedding anniversary, sharing a photo of the pair to Instagram. Both pictured

In the picture, the pair are smiling from ear-to-ear as they enjoy a day out on a boat.

Bec, who was most recently featured on Dancing With The Stars, blew out 38 candles on Friday.

The couple tied the knot at the Sydney Opera House on July 21, 2005.

And 16 years after the pair said ‘I do’, the poem Bec recited at the ceremony has resurfaced – thanks to snarky Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck.

Earlier this month, fans went wild over Bec’s cringeworthy poem, which included classic lines such as: ‘Having a family with you makes me so glad / I know I’ll never get sad.’

‘If your speech isn’t up to this standard on our wedding day then I don’t want it,’ one woman commented, tagging her fiancé.

Another added: ‘Bec, we get it. You’re a lyrical genius. No need to rub it in.’
