Gabrielle Union debuted a new ‘summer chop’ on Friday evening and was showered in compliments from famous friends.
The 48-year-old actress revealed she had cut off all her hair as she showed off a curly pixie cut on Instagram in a series of stunning snaps.
Clarifying that the drastic change wasn’t made because she felt ‘lost,’ the Bring It On star said: ‘things are gravy,’ but confessed her lighter hairdo felt ‘foreign.’

Gabrielle shared a carousel of images to Instagram as she posed in she and husband Dwyane Wade’s NYC apartment while wearing a polka dot dress.
‘So I did a thing,’ her caption began. ‘The movies always show women cutting their hair when all is lost but I wanted to know the feeling of making a change when things are gravy. It hits different and its foreign to me but I ❤❤❤ this new new.’
In the snaps she showed off expert glam that included winged eyeliner and a bright red lip as she worked her angles in a few selfies and a couple posed shots.

The impromptu photo shoot featured Gabrielle standing in her open-air kitchen in the body-hugging dress with large gold hoops and a string of necklaces.
She smiled big as her hand grazed her new shorter locks and she geo-tagged the location as ‘The Big Chop.’
The Bad Boys II actress was worked her angles and changed up her facial expressions as she pursed her lips in a few shots before grinning big.
Naturally her Instagram post garnered much praise from her famous inner circle who threw their support behind her new look.
