Bachelorette Brooke Blurton’s ‘huge payday’ from Channel Ten is revealed

She has made history in becoming The Bachelorette‘s first bisexual leading lady.

And according to PerthNow on Sunday, the 26-year-old is set to receive a huge payday from Channel Ten for the upcoming series to air later this year.

It’s understood the Indigenous youth worker will receive ‘up to $250,000’.

An insider reportedly told PerthNow that Brooke plans on using the money to support her family. 

The brunette beauty has six brothers and two sisters. Tragically, her mother passed away when she was just 11.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Ten for comment.

Should the figure be correct, it’s just $50,000 short of Sophie Monk’s rumoured $300,000 payday from her series of The Bachelorette in 2017.     

Brooke has already made history as both the first Indigenous and first openly bisexual Bachelorette.

The forthcoming series will see both men and women competing for her heart.

It marks the first time globally that any of the Bachelor or Bachelorette franchises have featured a mixed-gender cast. 

When asked how she felt viewers would take the change, Brooke told The Daily Telegraph: ‘I am not too sure if Australia is ready for it… I certainly am.’

The Bachelor alum also addressed the major problem with casting both males and females on the show.

Speaking to Studio 10, she admitted it’s ‘inevitable’ some of the contestants will find love with each other in the mansion, instead of with her.

‘If it happens, who am I to stop it?’ she said. ‘I think it’s one of those things… it could be inevitable to happen and that’s totally fine.

‘Look, I’ll be disappointed that we didn’t get to develop that relationship for whatever reason. It is what it is, and it will happen. I’ve just got to take it as it goes.’
