‘I am truly blessed’: Catherine Zeta-Jones shares sweet snaps with her parents after being separated for ‘so long’ amid the pandemic

They struggled to see each other during the coronavirus pandemic due to international travel restrictions.

So Catherine Zeta-Jones was understandably delighted as she reunited with her Welsh mother Patricia and father David in Mallorca on Sunday.

Taking to Instagram, the 51-year-old actress told her fans: ‘Just loving being with my Mam and Dad after being apart for so long. They are just the best, they give me so much joy. I am blessed, truly blessed.’

Catherine looked over the moon as she beamed in the series of selfies.

Showing where she gets her striking good looks, Catherine cosied up to Patricia, who looked every inch the glamorous grandmother in a hot pink shirt and pearls.

In a second snap, the actress stunned in a plunging floral maxi dress as she posed alongside Dave while cruising on a boat trip.

She swept her raven tresses up into a low bun and parted them in a sleek middle parting for the family trip.

Going full glam for the reunion outing, Catherine had accentuated her features with dark kohl liner and a slick of plum lipstick.

Catherine jetted to Mallorca earlier in the month for the family holiday but resides in Westchester County, New York, with her husband Michael Douglas and their children Dylan and Carys.

The actress grew up in Swansea in Wales and often returned to see her parents, until pandemic travel restrictions set in.

The star has often gushed about how supportive David and Patricia – who sent her to ballet lessons and private school – were while she was growing up.

The star said previously on Jimmy Kimmel: ‘My dad owned a candy factory and my mother was a seamstress so I was brought up with her sticking me with pins for costumes.

‘They were supportive, very supportive,’ she added in the heartfelt speech.

But Catherine has also admitted that she has little patience when it comes to her family – as a result of being so nice to her fans in public.

The movie star admitted on Instagram live: ‘[it’s] all part of the [film] business but there’s a lot of effort one puts into being nice to total strangers… not getting p****d off when someone comes up to you while you’re having dinner.’

Catherine went on: ‘We spend time being nice and polite and gracious to people and then sometimes you go snap to the people you live with.

‘The people you are closest to in the world, you don’t stand for any s**t, the little things.

‘If a total stranger had said or done that, you would probably be very nice and wouldn’t flip your lid,’ she concluded.
