Nick Candy and Holly Valance planning a PARTY BARN for their £10m Cotswolds home

Holly Valance and her billionaire property magnate husband Nick Candy have wasted no time getting to work on their new Cotswolds home, submitting a whopping five planning applications at once.

The pair splashed out well over £10 million for their new home but are planning on expanding the property to include a four-bedroom guest house, wine cellar and party barn.

They bought the Grade-II listed mansion – located near celebrity hotspot Soho Farm – earlier this year, and the sprawling home already boasts its own pool, stables, tennis court and even a chapel.

However, the ex-Neighbours actress, 38, and Nick, 48, want a complete overhaul of the place and have submitted five planning applications to West Oxfordshire District Council.

This includes building a ‘party barn’, complete with bar and lounge, for their famous friends and business associates.

The notoriously private pair are also having a two-storey security gatehouse constructed – which is bigger than the average UK house – complete with kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a surveillance office.

Entrepreneur Nick – who runs a multi-million commercial business – has security at all his other properties, including trained SAS guards at the brothers’ One Hyde Park.

It’s London’s most high-profile residential apartment block, where Nick is currently selling the penthouse for £175 million, making it Britain’s most expensive flat.

The pair aren’t waiting to sell before they work on their new home, however, with the couple revamping the three-storey main house, which will have seven en-suite bedrooms, with two of them having walk-in dressing rooms.

The ground floor will feature a hallway, study, snug, drawing room, dining room and flower room, while the basement will have a 2.17 sq metre wine cellar, which has the capacity for around 400 bottles, and a huge safe.

The barn is the centre piece of the renovations, with the squash court and garage being removed and a bar, lounge, cloak room and two ‘powder rooms’ put in its place.

According to the submitted plans, the two-floored coach house will be the guest area with four bedrooms and lounge.

Pop star Holly and Nick want to completely overhaul the pool area, to create a pool house with a fire place, steam room and shower room.

There will be a nursery to maintain the huge grounds, which will consist of a ‘gardener’s office, a garden machinery storage shed and a garden tools shed’, according to the design and access statement.

While there’s been no opposition to their plans, they’ve had to submit an ecology report to show that they are protecting the wildlife in the area such as bats and newts

Nick added: 'We're very immersed in our quiet country life at weekends and adore the friendly and welcoming village'

Last week, the couple confirmed they were the proud new owners of the sprawling property, with Nick telling The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden: ‘We have been looking for years to get something in the Cotswolds for the family, and finally, a year ago, we found a gorgeous family home in a wonderful village.’

The businessman, who shares daughters Luka, seven, and Nova, three, added: ‘We’re very immersed in our quiet country life at weekends and adore the friendly and welcoming village.’

Although Nick declined to say exactly how much the couple had paid, the house was bought by the previous owners for £8 million in 2012.

Since then, prices have rocketed in the area, where locals include Kate Moss and JCB tycoon Lord Bamford and his wife Carole, who started the Daylesford organic empire.
