The littlest lifeguard! Panda the chihuahua grabs owner’s ponytail in his teeth and tries to haul her out of swimming pool

  • Chihuahua Panda tried to pull his owner out of her London pool by her hair
  • Tiny dog latched to owner’s hair as if believing she is drowning in shallow pool
  • Afterwards, the dog takes off running, leaving his owner laughing in the water

This is the moment a tiny chihuahua hilariously tries to ‘rescue’ his owner from a swimming pool by hauling her out by her hair.

Footage filmed in London shows one-year-old dog Panda, who weights just six and a half pounds, stretching his neck towards his owner and following her along the edge of the pool.

When he gets close enough, Panda grabs her ponytail in his teeth and pulls her towards him.

His owner’s face morphs from confusion to elation as she catches her tiny dog trying to pull her out of the pool.

After a moment of confused silence, a big grin crosses her face as she begins to laugh.

She can be seen gripping the side of the pool as the dog continuously pulls her hair.

The unnamed woman told Viral Hog: ‘I was filming myself swimming and my one-year-old chihuahua Panda was running around the edge of the pool.

‘When I went to stop the recording he had obviously decided that I was drowning, and in desperate need of help, so proceeded (much to my surprise) grabbing my ponytail and trying to drag me out of the pool by it, which made me laugh hysterically, as he is only 3kg so it seems a little unrealistic.’

She had to hold onto Panda’s legs to make him release her hair before the dog took off around the pool.

‘I got him off by holding his legs. He races off in an excited frenzy, making some questionable noises,’ she added.
