Shane Warne hasn’t ruled out marrying again in future

Cricket legend Shane Warne says he hasn’t ruled out getting married again in future – and admits he’s made some ‘poor choices’ in his personal life

He’s the cricket legend whose personal life has made headlines almost as much as his sporting career over the last few decades.

And on Sunday, ladies man Shane Warne said that while he may have made some ‘poor choices’ regarding his love life over the years, he hasn’t ruled out getting his fairy tale ending and marrying again in future.

‘I’d never say never about anything, after what I’ve experienced in my life. If it happens it happens, but I’m not looking,’ the 51-year-old, who is currently believed to be single, said as he graced the cover of Men’s Health alongside son Jackson, 21.

He added that thanks to his celebrity status, his life has always played out in front of millions, admitting: ‘The attention and the judgment were always there, and, yes, I made plenty of poor choices along the journey.’

Shayne shares three children – Brooke, Jackson and Summer – with his first wife, Simone Callahan, 51.

The former couple were married from 1995 to 2005, and though their relationship was plagued by heartbreak and rumours he was unfaithful, they remain on amicable terms.

Shane added in the interview that he thinks the duo may have jumped into marriage ‘too soon’ but he’s glad they got ‘three beautiful children’ out of the relationship.

But it wasn’t always easy, with Shane admitting he missed Jackson and Brooke’s births because he was so committed to his job.

‘When I played, you didn’t say, “I’m missing this World Cup” or “I’m missing this Test match because of the birth of my child”, Warne said.

Simone previously told New Idea she has struggled with trust issues since her divorce from Shane.

The following year, Shane began a short relationship with former Playboy model Emily Scott. He claimed the two were just friends, before he was spotted by photographers on a late night visit to her house.

After his split from Emily he was seen on a night out with Sophie Monk. Sophie claims the couple kissed, but Shane went on to deny the claims.
