Selena Gomez shares behind-the-scenes clips from video for new Spanish-language song De Una Vez
Selena Gomez confessed during a behind-the-scenes video released Tuesday that she believes she sounds better singing in Spanish than in English.
The 28-year-old singer made the revelation in a companion video for her new Spanish-language song De Una Vez that she released last week.
The video opened with an exterior shot of a single-story suburban home and then showed Selena inside getting her hair and makeup done.

Selena and a friend told a story about a mutual friend who wore a clown suit to pull off a prank.
She laughed while getting her hair styled and shared how she purposefully employs a deadpan face with their pal.
‘This is actually my first Spanish song that I’ve done since I think I was maybe 18, 19,’ Selena said after she was shown singing a few lines of De Una Vez.

‘Basically I’ve spent hours trying to perfect the language and I also know some of it from growing up,’ Selena said while wearing white Beats headphones.
‘It has been really fun to step into it. It’s just a whole different world. And I personally think guys, I don’t know if anyone else really cares, but I think I sound better in Spanish than I do in English. Which is weird, right? That’s just my thing,’ she added.
Selena while sitting on a yellow couch showed her funny side as she explained that she just used some of her ‘magical powers’ to turn off all the lights in the room.

De Una Vez is Selena’s first Spanish-language song since Un Año Sin Lluvia in 2010.
