The Bachelor runner-up Bella Varelis reveals the reason why her friendship with former best friend Bec Cvilikas ended

They emerged from The Bachelor as best friends, but Bella Varelis and Bec Cvilikas are no longer on good terms.

And on Wednesday, Bella, 26, revealed the real reason why her friendship with Bec ended.

During an Instagram Q&A, the former TV reality star said the pair didn’t have a falling out but just ‘realised their friendship had changed’.

‘There wasn’t a big fall out, we just realised our friendship changed, which is normal in relationships and friendships,’ Bella explained.

It comes after The Daily Telegraph revealed earlier this month, the once close former reality stars are no longer on good terms.

‘They had a disagreement a few months ago and unfollowed each other on Instagram,’ a source told the publication.

Both Bec and Bella also confirmed their falling out in separate statements to gossip website The Wash.

‘Sometimes friendships grow apart, the same way relationships do. Small details are irrelevant and unnecessary for it to be public information,’ said Bella.

Bec added: ‘No real comment from me… We’re just two different kinds of people.’

Bella and Bec met on last year’s season of The Bachelor, and quickly formed a strong friendship, even moving in together in Sydney after the show.

In an interview with 10play in September last year, Bec said she and Bella clicked straight away on The Bachelor.

After Bec came in as an intruder, Bella quickly asked her if she wanted to be roommates, beginning their friendship.

‘From that moment on, it was nice to know I had someone who instantly I felt comfortable with,’ said Bec.

‘We hit it off really fast. We’re really similar people, so it’s nice to have that support in the mansion as you can imagine, it’s absolutely manic most of the time.’

She added: ‘No one will fully understand what it’s like to go through this experience and, to have someone who has been through it with you, you really get it.’
