Victor Wanyama’s brother has revealed that the Tottenham midfielder will announce details of his future at the club this week.

Wanyama has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham since Jose Mourinho took over as manager in November.

The 28-year-old has featured four times this season for Tottenham, with his only start coming away against Colchester in the EFL Cup in September.

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama has reportedly made a decision over his future

His contract doesn’t expire until the summer of 2021 but his brother, Harry, has said Victor has decided on his future and all will be revealed over the next few days.

‘Victor’s agent Ivan Modia will announce whether he will be leaving Spurs or not and which club. He is set to make the announcement in two or three days,’ Harry told the Kenyan newspaper, People Daily.

Last month Mourinho said Wanyama had not been included in Tottenham’s 25-man squad for the Champions League knockout stages because of better players in front of him.

‘Victor is in a position where we have lots of players. Winks, Dier, Skipp and Gedson,’ Mourinho said.

Tottenham tried to move Wanyama out on loan in January until the end of the season but a deal didn’t materialise because of his £65,000-a-week wages.

Celtic were interested but couldn’t afford to pay his wages, which ended any chance of the Kenyan returning to his former club.
