Eden Hazard is struggling with home temptations as he admits he is having to watch his diet amid the coronavirus crisis. 

The Real Madrid star has been teased about his weight ever since he left Chelsea last summer.  

He told RTBF: ‘It’s complicated for me. I’m trying not to eat a lot.

‘I’m trying not to go into the pantry to eat a lot of buns, but it’s not easy.’

Hazard’s first season at the Bernabeu was plagued with an ankle injury and has revealed how he is trying to get back to fitness at home. 

Hazard added: ‘I’m working with the physio online.

‘He can’t come here anymore because he fell ill and has to stay at home.

‘We started ten days ago, but he sends me videos from home.

‘I’m working to strengthen my ankle and I’m doing what I can from home.’ 

Madrid believe pay cuts for their highest earners will become ‘inevitable’ as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

Club president  Florentino Perez and captain Sergio Ramos had previously agreed salaries would not be touched despite the financial implications of a prolonged break from the game.

But with Madrid covering the wages of over 800 different people across all of its teams, it is now likely those with the biggest incomes will see a reduction in their wages, according to El Pais
