Coleen Nolan has revealed the coronavirus crisis has had an impact on her sister’s cancer treatment.

The Loose Women host, 55, appeared on Wednesday’s episode of This Morning as she discussed how the global pandemic left Linda, 61, waiting to receive treatment. 

Linda receives regular hospital treatment to ‘strengthen her bones and keep the cancer at bay’.

Coleen explained: ‘It is worrying. I know one of her injections was delayed for a couple of weeks which meant she was in a lot of pain with her bones. 

‘You don’t want her to miss what she should be having. On the other hand, is it putting her more at risk to put her in a hospital where she’s going to bump into other people?’

Linda was first diagnosed first diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2006.

Although the star went into remission, the cancer returned in 2017, and was diagnosed as incurable. 

Four years prior, their sister Bernie died of breast cancer in 2013. 

Last year, Linda revealed she had begun ticking items off her bucket list as she vows to embrace life for as long as she can.

The former singer compiled an extensive list which includes trips to Lapland and Las Vegas as she declared: ‘You have to be optimistic.’ 

Speaking about her present condition, she told The Mirror: ‘The cancer hasn’t spread and that’s the main thing. 

‘That is the worry, of course. It’s treatable and not curable – and the treatment is working well. The only side-effect is arthritis in every joint which is very painful, but at least it’s not cancer.’

She added: ‘You have to be optimistic. There are lots of things I want to do with my life. I’ve been given a second chance.’
