Prince Albert was seen being filmed by French director Claude Lelouch as he got into a Ferrari during the shooting of short movie ‘Le grand rendez-vous’ in Monaco today.

The short film is a remake of the director’s 1976 cult high speed drive through Paris, ‘C’était un Rendez-vous’, and sees Monégasque racing driver Charles Leclerc driving through the deserted streets of Monte Carlo in anger.

It comes as lockdown measures taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19 in the Principality are eased, a month after Prince Albert, 62, was reunited with his wife Princess Charlene, 42, and their 5-year-old twins after two weeks in isolation when he came down with the virus at the end of March.

Albert can be seen getting into the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, in a modern version of the film, which reportedly follows a similar script.

Dressed in a dark suit and bright blue shirt, Albert is seen wearing a medical facemask as members of the crew don PPE while filming him.

Another still sees Claude Lelouch filming Prince’s Albert II of Monaco, and Mongasque driver Charles Leclerc as they get in a Ferrari car during the shooting of the short movie.

At the beginning of April Prince Albert of Monaco joked he hoped to get a ‘welcome home banner’ as his isolation period following his coronavirus diagnosis came to an end.

The royal, 62, who had been away from his wife Princess Charlene and their 5-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella for two weeks, revealed how he had stayed connected to them.

He was monitored by his personal doctor and by specialists at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre, which is named after his mother Grace Kelly.
