California Governor Gavin Newsom recently made it a requirement for residence to don face masks in ‘high-risk settings’ as the state reopens amid COVID-19.

And Dakota Fanning was spotted on Friday afternoon complying with Newsom’s mandate as she ran errands in Los Angeles.

The 26-year-old actress sported a bright pink face mask that coordinated with the handbag tucked under her arm.

Dakota showed off her slender legs in a leopard print halter dress that stopped just above her knees.

She wore a pair of black, vintage-inspired shades and slipped her feet into a pair of chunky white sneakers. 

Fanning had her blonde hair pulled up into a ponytail and secured with a light pink scrunchie.

Dakota juggled a water bottle and a pamphlet in her hands as she attempted to open the door of her white SUV.

Earlier in the day, Fanning took to Instagram to reveal that the second season of her  series The Alienist: Angel of Darkness would be premiering one week early on TNT.
