Miley Cyrus ‘side eyes’ people who won’t wear face masks

Miley Cyrus gives ‘that shady side eye’ to people who refuse to wear protective face masks to stem the spread of COVID-19

Miley Cyrus is not here for anti-maskers.

The outspoken 27-year-old pop superstar took to Instagram with a stunning new black and white photo and a message for those who refuse to wear protective face masks during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a new post on Tuesday night, Miley gave some ‘shady side eye’ to the people not abiding by rules enacted by many cities and counties for all residents to wear masks while in public.

‘That shady side eye to y’all who ain’t wearing your recommended, in many places MANDATORY masks. Psh. [smiley face mask emojis],’ Miley captioned her Instagram post.

In the black and white shot the music maven is dressed in an edgy look with a cropped white T-shirt that reads ‘the filth’ in big black letters and torn patch work skinny pants.

She has an oversized bomber jacked with skulls on it slouched off of her shoulders and is standing with her hands positioned on her hips.

As her caption suggests, the star is giving ‘side-eye’ in the shot that gives her an 80s rocker feel.

Miley’s caption isn’t just paying lip service when it comes to her stance on wearing masks to stem the spread of coronavirus.

Both she and her boyfriend Cody Simpson have been spotted out and about throughout the pandemic with their face masks firmly in place.

Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp also warned fans about the dangers of not wearing a mask that same day when she revealed that she had forgone the protection for one day and ended up contracting coronavirus.

The 37-year-old took to Instagram, sharing a new selfie of her wearing a pink face mask, while opening up about how she got COVID and explained how she was ‘extremely sick for over three weeks and still have lingering symptoms.’

‘I was incredibly safe. I wore a mask. I used hand sanitizer. One time, when the world was starting to open up, I decided to forgo wearing my mask. One. Time. And I ended up getting it, Camp revealed.

She went on to clarify that she doesn’t know for sure that she contracted the virus during the exact that time she skipped wearing a mask but still wanted to implore her followers to take the simple precaution.

In addition to Mile and Anna, many celebrities have used their platforms to encourage people to take this basic step at keeping themselves and others safe by wearing masks.

None perhaps more so than Tom Hanks who, along with his wife Rita Wilson, suffered from and recovered from COVID-19 earlier this year.

Hanks has repeated the mantra time and again that wearing a mask is ‘so simple’ and the least people can do.

‘Wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands. That alone means you are contributing to the betterment of your house, your work, your town, your society as a whole and it’s such a small thing,’ Hanks told Today in earlier this month.
