As material assistance, Finland sends, among other things, medical and hygiene supplies. The relief material will be sent through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism as part of a joint relief mission. The Ministry of the Interior has co-operated with the Finnish Red Cross in the procurement and transport of supplies.

Finland is one of the most active countries in the EU’s civil protection mechanism in sending expert assistance.
