Love Island’s Francesca Allen reveals dental clinic offered to close her tooth gap for free

Love Island‘s Francesca Allen has revealed a dental clinic approached her to close her tooth gap for free when she left the Mallorcan villa in 2019.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the reality star, 25, recalled being shocked at the offer as she declared: ‘There’s nothing wrong with my teeth, thank you very much!’

The clothing store owner – who recently took part in a virtual life drawing event with start-up skincare brand Faceittea – also touched on her recent two-stone weight loss, the prospect of dating and the importance of being candid about her acne.

TV star Francesca reflected on the pressure of being in the public eye, but insisted she’s not a fan of fillers and plastic surgery as she believes ‘natural is best’.

On being encouraged to go under cosmetic procedures since her rise to fame, the influencer admitted: ‘When I first came out, I had so many companies asking if I wanted surgery for free.

‘I remember one company said they’d love to fix my teeth, and I thought: ”There’s nothing wrong with my teeth, thank you very much!”

‘They’d make you think you’re broken but it’s just how I am and the way I look! My mum has been a very good person to instill that [confidence] in me so hopefully I can make other people feel like that too.’

Earlier this year, the media personality was accused of editing her pictures by social media users, with the brunette revealing the change in her appearance was down to shedding weight.

The former shop manager explained how while she tends to fluctuate often, her weight ‘doesn’t faze her’.

Francesca shared: ‘I’ve actually put on a couple pounds again… my weight is always very up and down.

‘Sometimes I might do hardcore training but then the next day I might be having cake all day so I’m back in the biscuit tin again.

‘No one focuses on it as much as you do. I’ve never let anything like that stop me from doing what I want to do, so I try not to think about it too much. You just need to stop looking at yourself so much, that’s what I think!

‘I haven’t watched back my own episodes [on Love Island] – I’m too scared! I’m too nervous to watch it. My friends and family said I was myself. I thought it would be like walking in a bar, but it wasn’t like that! I did make friends though.

‘I’m fairly lucky that I don’t get much hate compared to the girls I know, I’m harder than a lot of my friends. I ignore things, there’s nothing I or my family and friends haven’t said to me.’

During her stint on the ITV2 dating series, the Essex native failed to find love after coupling up with Curtis Pritchard and Michael Griffiths.

The model – who has been linked to Amber Turner’s businessman ex Edward Crossan and Piers Morgan’s son Spencer in the past – also spoke about ‘enjoying being myself’ after spending years in relationships with men ‘she didn’t even really like’.

She said: ‘I was in relationships throughout my younger years. I hadn’t really been single until Love Island came about, I was always falling into relationships with people I didn’t even really like.

‘But now, I feel selfish and really enjoying being myself and happy in my own company. If someone comes along that ticks all the boxes, but maybe not now.’

On whether she wants children in the future after her sister Claudia welcomed her first child, Francesca added: ‘It’s not easy being a mum, I’ve seen it first-hand. My sister is my best friend. I see everything and I realise that this is really hard work.

‘She met her partner [Tony Knightley, the brother of Sam Faiers’ boyfriend Paul] at my age and she’s only had a baby six years into her relationship. It makes me think that the person I met know would be my forever, but I’m in no rush to have children.’

‘Personally I’ve tried to be more on a plant-based diet to help the world in that aspect. Changing your products is such a massive thing.

‘I didn’t have a routine in place before, but now I have a morning and night routine, and I try to stay away from those high-street products.

‘I remember at college my teacher told me that the brand Simple is not simple, the things inside them are terrible for your skin. So I really love Faceittea.

‘Being in the public eye, I have a wider reach so people contact me. The more they say it’s amazing how I can speak about my acne, I know I’m not on my own. We all have bad days and good days with our skin.’
