Maisie Smith heads out in her SLIPPERS as she picks up a takeaway Subway

She often turns heads on an outing.

And Maisie Smith will certainly have raised eyebrows with her latest ensemble, as she was spotted wearing a giant pair of slippers on a lunch run to Subway on Wednesday.

The EastEnders star, 19, cut a very casual figure as she donned an oversized white jumper paired with checkered tracksuit bottoms while out in London.

Maisie – who plays Tiffany Butcher in the BBC soap – caught the eye in her oversized shark-themed slippers, and also wore a pink face mask over her mouth and nose amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Her auburn tresses were straightened and cascaded down her shoulders, while she clutched a bag of Subway food and a drink in her hand.

Maisie was joined on her outing by her EastEnders co-star Zack Morris, 22, who plays her on screen-husband, Keegan Baker. 

Zack also opted for laidback attire, as he sported a dark Nike hoodie with matching trousers and trainers, alongside a grey face mask.

It comes after Maisie had shared snaps of her unusual choice of clothing while out for a walk last month.

The actress posed for a series of roadside snaps for her Instagram page, as she swapped out shoes for oversized, fluffy Nike Air Jordan slippers.

Maisie donned a tiny pair of black Fila shorts which she paired with a white tank top that flaunted her toned midriff.

She teamed the casual ensemble with a baseball cap, yellow-tinted sunglasses and a large black hoodie with red detail, to keep out the chill of the spring evening.

The Strictly Come Dancing star held a carton of apple juice for the snaps as she declared her love for the drink. 

She spilled the juicy details in her caption, declaring that it was better than orange juice, writing: ‘Apple juice > orange juice don’t @ me. (sic)’

It was previously reported that Maisie is thought to be selling her old clothes at bargain prices on a Depop account.

The star, who is reportedly listing items under the name MaisLou, seems to have already managed to flog gym gear and sports bras with prices from just £7.

According to The Sun, Maisie’s account boasts dozens of listings with 256 items sold already and more than 4,000 people following the page in the search for a second-hand bargain.

Many of the clothing items up for grabs are activewear, with several listings being for GymShark tops and leggings.

However the beauty also appears to have listings for tops, skirts and dresses including one skin-tight red frock which sold for £13.

Maisie has also reportedly managed to sell several accessories, including a black baker boy hat – at an affordable price of £5 – which she modelled for the site herself.

Several over stars have also set up Depop accounts in recent weeks, including Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague and Katie Price.  

It comes after sources close to Maisie told MailOnline she’s unlikely to extend her current EastEnders contract when it expires in October, with bosses set to use her exit as part of the soap’s dramatic Christmas storylines.

A source said: ‘Maisie is hugely ambitious and wants to test herself away from soaps.

‘Starring in movies is a personal goal and seeing how well Ben and Himesh have done, it’s given her hope she could be the next box office star from EastEnders. 

‘The only stumbling block is whether COVID-19 and the knock-on effect of the pandemic will dilute the pool of acting opportunities.

‘If it remains bleak, the sensible move might be staying put for another year. But the intention is to leave in October.’

Maisie, who joined EastEnders when she was just six, has ambitions of starring on the big-screen and is hoping to crack Hollywood with a major film role.
