The Bachelor star Colton Underwood goes shirtless and declares ‘all good things are wild and free’

Colton Underwood said his final goodbye to his dog, Sniper, when he passed away in February 2020.

Within two months, the star announced he had officially adopted Zooka, a German shepherd/husky/Lab mix that he was previously fostering amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Monday, the former professional football player turned reality star showcased their budding companionship by going shirtless in a series of photos of the pair enjoying the great outdoors together.

Their affection for each other was more than apparent in the black-and-white snaps that were taken in his adopted home state of Colorado. 

In the first photo, Underwood can be seen sitting down with Zooka on his lap with a big beaming smile on his face and the gorgeous, mountainous landscape in the backdrop.

Dressed only in shorts, a reverse baseball cap and sneakers, the Indiana native declared: ‘all good things are wild and free,’ in the caption, in a likely reference to himself, Zooka, and all the nature that surrounded them.   

There’s also a solo snap of the former San Diego Chargers player standing shirtless by the edge of a lake or river amid the snow-dusted mountains all around them.

Underwood showed off his bulging muscles along his arms, back and shoulders in a photo showing Zooka giving him a big kiss as he did a set of pushups during an outdoor workout.

The pair appeared to be at an outdoor section of a gym, or in a makeshift workout area on a rooftop/patio.

Zooka looked to be salivating at his human partner’s freshly-caught fish, in a fourth photo of the duo standing on rocks a few inches into the lake/river.  

Underwood capped off the post with a shot of himself paddling along the water with an oar and his four-legged family member along for the ride. 

Last month, Underwood shocked some fans when he publicly came out as gay during an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America.

During the conversation, Colton revealed how the pandemic forced him to finally ‘look at himself in the mirror and come to terms with his sexuality.’

The personal confession came 11 months after his split with Cassie Randolph, whom he met during is time on The Bachelor, which aired beginning in January 2019.    

In September 2020, she filed a restraining order against Underwood, alleging that he harassed and stalked her and put a tracking device underneath her car.         

Randolph was ultimately granted a temporary restraining order, but she eventually dropped it. 

Meanwhile, a Change.org petition has already garnered 35,273 signatures in response to the news that Colton, who came out as gay last month, will starring in a Netflix series about his new life.

The petition, called ‘Cancel Colton Underwood’s Netflix Documentary,’ cites accusations Colton stalked and harassed his ex-girlfriend Cassie as reason for the cancellation.
