Kim Kardashian builds garden wonderland on $60m compound

Kim Kardashian is building a garden wonderland on her $60m Calabasas compound, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Aerial photos of the billionaire’s plot of land shows an intricate circular structure, which is said to be an organic vegetable garden that Kim, 40, is currently having built.

A source tells DailyMail.com: ‘It’s an organic vegetable and fruit garden. There are planter like boxes that go across ground level that you can walk in between.’

‘She’s planting a lot of different things,’ the source adds, noting that there are also fruit trees nearby.

Judging by the scale of the area, it certainly seems that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is planning something magical for the garden wonderland – as she continues to add special features to the property – though it is understood to still be a work in progress.

Pictures taken on Thursday also show a fleet of Maybach cars, as well as a Range Rover, situated around the compound.

Kim recently spoke out to say she is ‘not responsible’ for labor disputes in lawsuit against her, by seven former workers at her Hidden Hills home.

A spokesperson for the star said: ‘These workers were hired and paid through a third-party vendor hired by Kim to provide ongoing services.’

‘Kim is not party to the agreement made between the vendor and their workers, therefore she is not responsible for how the vendor manages their business and the agreements they have made directly with their staff.

‘Kim has never not paid a vendor for their services and hopes that the issue between these workers and the vendor who hired them can be amicably resolved soon.’

The KKW mogul has been hard at work on the house recently including building a ‘Lil Hidden Hills’ in the backyard of her sprawling mansion for her children, complete with a KKW Beauty store, a Starbucks, a Lego castle and an ATM machine.

In March, pictures of the home showed a ‘Lil Hidden Hills’ sign plastered on a welcome arch at the town’s entrance, features a myriad of shops and play stations.

It seems the star has been busying herself with lots of projects amid her divorce from estranged husband Kanye West.

Kanye is not currently living with Kim at the Calabasas abode they purchased together in 2017.

Another noteworthy structure, located directly next to the KKW Beauty is a pale blue retro-style diner featuring a bright red sign with ‘West Diner’ written on it in bold font.

There is also a darling fire station, which Kim and her younger sister Khloe have featured on their Instagram Stories in recent months.

The ultra colorful Lego castle comes complete with two royal blue slides and two defensive towers for the kids to climb up to and peer down on their pals.

The right side of the linear town provides the Kardashian-Jenner clan with plenty of opportunities to play house, including a sweet flower shop, grocery store, and a two-story cottage-style abode.

Aside from the home projects, Kim has also been busy studying law, and revealed earlier this week that she did not pass her first year law student exam.

Kim – who has been following in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps by trying to be a lawyer – told sisters Kourtney and Khloe the disappointing news in scenes filmed in October 2020.

In this week’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she said: ‘So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar.’

Speaking to the camera, Kim later explained the structure of her studies, and insisted her route is ‘harder’ than the average path.

She added: ‘If you are doing law school the way I’m doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year programme.

‘And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This would actually [be] harder, I hear, than the official bar.’

In a flashback clip, her mentor Jessica Jackson told Kim that she needed 560 to pass the exam, and although she got 474 on her first try, she shouldn’t be disheartened.

The attorney said: ‘That is extremely close on a test that most people are not taking in the middle of a pandemic.’

However, the reality star was still critical of herself as she pointed out how ‘important’ this journey is for her.

She told her siblings: ‘I am a failure. I spent six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day, studying and it was so important for me to take this. And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up.’

Kourtney replied: ‘I feel like dad would be really proud of you regardless, just the fact that you’re pursuing this.’

And Khloe added: ‘I think it’s highly respectable what you’re doing. I think the time that you get taken away from your family, your kids…’

Kim insisted that is the issue and she isn’t sure if she’ll be able to put herself through it all again.

And when Khloe suggested she retake the exam in June 2021, she argued: ‘I don’t want to wait another year to go by for school. I feel like I just got to the end where I almost knew everything.’
