Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West mimics Willow Smith and whips her braided tresses around as she rocks out to her debut song Whip My Hair
Willow Smith was just days away from celebrating her 10th birthday when the music video for her debut song, Whip My Hair, made its premiere in 2010.
Fast forward some 10-and-a-half-years, and Kim Kardashian‘s daughter, North West, decided to do her version of Willow by whipping her hair around in a frenzy in a video posted on her mom’s Instagram Story.
Not only did North mimic Willow rocking out along to the uptempo beat, she also had her long dark tresses styled in braids, just like Will Smith‘s little girl had when she performed in the music video.

Whipping it: North West whipped her braided hair into a frenzy along to Willow Smith’s debut song, Whip My Hair, in 2010
North, who turns eight-years-old on June 15, could be seen flailing her head and flipping her braids around to the chorus: ‘I whip my hair back and forth.’
Dressed in a loose-fitting grey shirt dress and barefoot, the oldest of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s four children bounced about in the short clip.
Her hair-whipping moves were very similar to how Willow in her music video.
Lyrically the song is about letting loose, being as wild as can be, while Willow asks ladies to ‘whip their hair’ and ‘shake haters off.’
