Singer Ruel swaps the stage for the catwalk as he makes his debut as a runway model at Australian Fashion Week

Ruel is perhaps one of Australia’s most fashionable singers.

So the pop star was a natural fit to headline designer Richard Jarman’s Commas Resort 22 showing during Australian Fashion Week.

‘There’s not many musicians that come in at 6’3′ with Ruel’s looks,’ Richard told Daily Mail Australia last week.

That’s different! Ruel swapped the stage for the runway, making his debut as a model during the Commas Resort 22 event at Australian Fashion Week

The Sydney-based singer, 18, made his debut as a runway model at the Tamarama Beach event last week.

‘He has a lot going for him,’ Richard said of Ruel, who boasts an impressive 1.5million followers on Instagram.

Ruel recently described the fashion scene in Australia as ‘non-existent’.

‘Everyone just wears boardies and flips flops,’ he told PAUSE magazine.

‘I’m just really starting getting into it. And I’d also love to start my own fashion label one day, I’ve already got some ideas and stuff like that, and I’ve got a little book where I write all my ideas and drawings.’

Despite his young age, Ruel is making waves with some of the music industry’s biggest names, including Khalid and Zane Lowe.

Most notably, Sir Elton John offered his support on his Beats 1 radio show in 2018.
