Sydney tattooist Lauren Winzer has used her creative talent on a range of A-list celebrities, including Post Malone, Joe Jonas and Miley Cyrus.
And this week, the renowned artist candidly told Daily Mail Australia about her experience with two of Byron Bay’s most famous residents – Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, 37, and his wife Elsa Pataky, 44.
On Monday, Lauren recalled how she was flown over to the couple’s coastal home in 2016 so she could tattoo the Spanish actress and her friends – which at the time included Liam Hemsworth‘s now ex-wife, Miley.

Lauren had nothing but praise for the Hemsworth clan, claiming the ‘entire family were just amazing’.
‘It was a weird situation – it was at the old house,’ she said.
‘Chris kind of had his main house, and then built all these other houses on the property for his family – so I stayed with his parents.
‘Actually, I did his parents’ first tattoos!’
Lauren, who specialises in colour and one-off designs, recalls how she was flown over to the pair’s home in Byron Bay when his brother Liam and Miley Cyrus were still together in 2016 – and had nothing but praise for the entire Hemsworth clan
Lauren’s visit was prior to Chris and Elsa moving into their whopping $30million mansion, which they began construction on in late 2017.
But she did say that there was one unforgettable feature in the Hollywood megastars’ toilet, which she couldn’t resist taken a photo of to send to her mother.
‘The actual Thor hammer was in the bathroom, so I sent a selfie to my mum while I was peeing holding it!’ she laughed.

‘[Elsa] is such a legend. I’ve tattooed her family as well – they’re all just so nice. She’s a beautiful person, super lovely.’
Elsa, Miley and friends got a tiny wave tattoo – which was drawn by surfer Kelly Slater – as a friendship symbol on each of their bodies.

Sadly, the Midnight Sky singer and Elsa aren’t believed to be close anymore since Miley’s split with Liam in 2019.
Lauren went on to say that while she hasn’t tattooed Chris yet, there were plans to do so in recent months.
‘I was supposed to tattoo all the Thor guys, as me and Taika [Waititi, Thor Director] have been speaking for three years about doing it,’ she said.
‘I designed a tattoo – I think some of the crew got it, but we couldn’t tee it up. I really hope we do it one day.’

She went on to add that she’s also trying to organise a tattoo with Taika’s girlfriend, Rita Ora, in future.
Lauren has raked up a huge following of 214k followers on Instagram, and works at Sydney’s Hunter & Fox Tattoo in the city.
She’s currently fronting a campaign called thINK before you INK, which aims to shine a light on how so many are unsure on how to treat their first tattoos with the correct aftercare.
‘Aftercare is just as important as choosing the right artist, but it seems we’re not putting equal effort into both,’ Lauren, who is an ambassador of Bepanthen Tattoo aftercare cream, said.
