James Corden gets caught in downpour during alfresco family meal in Primrose Hill

James Corden is every inch the doting dad as he admires his daughter’s toy before getting caught in downpour during alfresco family meal in Primrose Hill

He has been busy filming in London for his upcoming Amazon comedy Mammals, after jetting across from Los Angeles

But James Corden enjoyed some quality family time in Primrose Hill on Wednesday as he headed to Greek restaurant Lemonia with his wife Julia and their three children.

The Late Late Show host, 42, was joined by his parents Margaret and Malcolm for the meal.

James was in daddy mode as his daughter Charlotte, three, eagerly showed him a toy, while he sat next to his other daughter Carey, six.

The comedian’s son, Max, 10, meanwhile, sat in-between his grandparents, with Julia chatting away to him.

James cut a casual figure for the alfresco dinner in a black T-shirt and shades. The Cats actor looked a little concerned when it started to rain, but luckily the family were sheltered under a large parasol.

The Hillingdon-born star is going back to his comedic roots by starring in the upcoming Amazon comedy, Mammals.

Although the plot is currently being kept under wraps, James will be appearing alongside Tom Jones, Sally Hawkins and Henry Lloyd-Hughes.

The six-part series will be James’ comedy comeback since the Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special almost two years ago.

Since adopting a Weight Watchers diet, James has managed to lose 2.5 stone.

The presenter recently revealed he hates working out despite his lifestyle overhaul.

He detailed how when he gets time off work he just wants to be ‘laying down’ not breaking a sweat and going to the gym.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show earlier in July, James said: ‘I feel like I’m getting better. I’m trying, but I feel like there’s still a way to go.. I’ve lost just over 35lbs’.
