Spud the sprocker spaniel puppy howls along with his new squeaky toy

This is the comical moment a puppy tried to mimic the sound of his new toy by howling along with it. 

Jodie Board, 19, from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, had been watching her three-month-old sprocker spaniel named Spud play with his new rubber toy when she saw the young canine try to replicate the toy’s squeaks.

Footage shows the dog release a high-pitched howl as he squashes the rubber toy with his nose.

During the clip, the puppy presses the rubber toy with his nose and listens as it squeaks back.

The canine then raises his head and howls in response as his amused owner watches on.  

Ms Board later took to social media to share the footage with others alongside the caption: ‘Spud got a new toy and we aren’t sure what to think about the squeaker.’

Following the comical clip, one viewer wrote: ‘Aww (sic) bless that’s so cute. Watched it like ten times now and in stitches.’

Sarah McManaman commented: ‘I cannot emotionally handle how sweet this video is.’

Mich Dag added: ‘He’s just tuning up, all’s good.’

Patty Benson wrote: ‘Oh my, that is too cute but I don’t know I could handle it.’ 

Shirley Irene added: ‘Awe this made my heart swell.’ 

Spud’s mother is a springer spaniel his father is a cocker spaniel – hence his description as a ‘sprocker’.

The puppy’s TikTok account has already attracted more than 156,000 likes in just over a week since the first video was shared.
