Since filming for the latest Mission Impossible was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tom Cruise has been taking sanctuary in the UK.
Over the course of the last year, Cruise has been seen a number of times, often taking friends and family for helicopter rides around London.
With hotels closed, Cruise prefers to stay in a luxury wing of the Church of Scientology headquarters in the countryside of Saint Hill, East Grinstead, West Sussex.
Cruise has a love affair with England and even bought a a six-bedroom property in East Grinstead, selling it in 2016 for $6million to the Australian singer Peter Andre, but admitted at the last Jack Reacher premiere that the country ‘is a really great place to live’.
It leads some to wonder if the 57-year-old is now considering making the UK his base again, and this time bring his extended family along.

Cruise was pictured riding his chopper around the capital during the festive period, while son Connor’s beard shave and pampering session at a top London barbers was posted on the barber’s Instagram.
Cruise’s nephews were also in town.
Cal Henry – son of his realtor sister Marian – came with his wife Marjorye and they posted a photo of themselves enjoying the traditional Christmas ice skating at historic Somerset House.
His other nephews, Liam and Aden Darmody – sons of Cass – were also present and went to a soccer game, Arsenal vs Chelsea, on December 29.
Adopted daughter Isabella, who is thought to be a staff member at the London branch, lives half-an-hour’s drive away from Saint Hill in Croydon, a south London suburb.
According to former family friend and Scientologist Sam Domingo – the daughter-in-law of the world’s greatest living opera singer Placido Domingo – Cruise would often use Saint Hill as a base, living in its top-floor extravagant accommodation, especially if his best friend, Scientology leader David Miscavige, was in town.
When the family was last thinking of relocating for good to England, Domingo says his sisters even checked out property in the affluent village of Forest Row and a nearby Scientology School called Greenfields, both next door to Saint Hill.

‘It’s possible that they’re looking at the East Grinstead area to settle down again. I heard all the sisters were seen in a cafe in Forest Row, where the school is, and wanting to live there. It’s where a tiny group of affluent Scientologists like to live. It’s close to the school, but outside of the town, and a bit more private,’ says Domingo, who was good friends with his sisters Cass and Marian.
‘A few years back, his sisters quietly did a tour of Greenfields School and it looked like they were thinking of moving into the area.
‘There’s always been rumors that leader David Miscavige hosts Tom at the Saint Hill manor sometimes when he’s here. He flies into a private little airport with Miscavige.
‘Miscavige has had the entire top story of the manor revamped for his personal use and Tom supposedly stayed for a while a few years back when his sisters were checking out Greenfields.
‘The move to England would actually make sense, as Isabella appears to be on London staff already.’

Last October, she revealed in an internal promo email that Scientology courses had ‘saved her life’, now Tom maybe keen to follow the progress of his daughter in Scientology more closely.
He did the same with son Connor, moving him to Scientology accommodation next door to the global HQ in Florida, amid rumors he wasn’t happy about the former DJ’s lifestyle.
With his children now progressing up the Church ladder, they’re following in the footsteps of their cousins, who have taken numerous high-level courses.

While the family are doing courses at the center, they can relax in the many exquisite rooms at Saint Hill Manor, which dates back to 1792. Another reason for Cruise and family to be enjoying an extended time in the UK is because of his close relationship with leader Miscavige, who has been in Europe more often.
This would be the Cruise family’s second big move in two years.
The first, in 2018, was to Clearwater, Florida, after selling his $13million home on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles, which was supposedly a renowned ‘Scientology retreat’, where Cruise lived with his sisters and late mother Mary Lee.
He moved the family into a luxury Scientology apartment block in Clearwater, where he’s got the two-story penthouse. According to property records, the Hollywood actor’s three sisters all purchased apartments on the third, fourth and fifth floors.
Cruise also hoovered up two other apartments on the second and third floor, which had been earmarked for his children.
